CZ 75
ORDER
OF THE
WHITE
LION
Characteristics
The Order of the White Lion is an award given to Czech citizens by the President of the Czech Republic for their outstanding services to the state, eminent contributions to the defense and security of the state, significant leadership and combat activities, scientific and professional work for the military and defense, and noteworthy promotion of the country’s reputation abroad. Foreigners are awarded the Order of the White Lion for their exceptional service to the country.
The badge, which experts consider to be one of the most beautiful in the world, depicts the five classes of the Order as a five-sided, red enameled star, with all classes joined together by linden tree leaves. The center of the star is decorated with the traditional emblem of the Czech lands – a silver, two-tailed lion wearing a golden crown and golden armor, leaping through the air.
Among the recipients of the Order of the White Lion are true greats of our time, such as Czech President Vaclav Havel, American diplomat of Czech descent Madeline Albright, Czech businessman Jan Antonin Bata, Sir Nicholas Winton, General John J. Pershing, Nikola Tesla, Dwight D. Eisenhower, Paul-Henri Spaak and many others.
The Czech national symbols, in the form of linden tree leaves and a double-tailed lion, are the main decorative motifs of the CZ 75 Order of the White Lion limited edition. All were created with the support and cooperation of the Office of the President of the Republic.

Special auction

Engravings
Selected parts of the frame and slide are decorated with engravings of a linden tree branch motif, which is a traditional part of Czech national symbolism. At first glance, they are instantly recognizable as the handiwork of a master engraver, which is much different than those made by machine.
Grips
The motif of a linden tree branch, this time in a form inspired by the Presidential Standard of the President of the Czech Republic, is also burned into the lacquered, Czech maple grips. Maple is often referred to as a symbol of freedom.
Gold-plating
The controls, extractor and grip screws on CZ 75 Order of the White Lion edition pistols are gold-plated.
A shield with a crowned, two-tailed lion from the lesser coat of arms of the Czech Republic is from 14k gold (Czech hallmark) and set into the right-hand side of the frame.
The magazine base plate is also gold-plated, decorated with a hand-engraved linden tree branch and linked to the gun by a serial number.
Descriptions
and numbering
The description of the pistol in the middle of the slide is aligned with the motto on the left front side of the slide, “PRAVDA VÍTĚZÍ” (TRUTH PREVAILS), which is found on the Presidential Standard of the President of the Czech Republic. The years 1922-2022 are written on the front right side of the slide.
On the left side of the slide, behind the CZ logo, is the name of the edition and the caliber. Below this text is “Vyrobeno v České republice / v edici 100 kusů” (Made in Czech Republic, in a 100 piece edition).
For the CZ 75 Order of the White Lion edition, a numbering range of RBL-001 to RBL-100, with RBL referring to the name of this limited series, has been designated for the collector. The same unique serial number on the firearm is also found on the gold-plated base plate of its corresponding magazine.
Case
Each pistol in the CZ 75 Order of the White Lion edition is housed in a case made from three types of wood. Like the pistol grips, the case is made of Czech maple, while the sides are made of luxurious birch root specially ordered from Austria for this edition. The lid is made of walnut. The exterior of the case is protected with a lacquer and polyurethane finish.
The interior of the case is lined with plush, red microfiber, which is close in color to the Order of the White Lion star.
The lid, which is supported by two tricolor ribbons, features an original certificate from the Office of the President of the Czech Republic, signed by Czech President Milos Zeman and dated 28 October 2022.
The outside of the lid is dominated by a relief that depicts the Order of the White Lion, with its name executed in a similar style to the motto “Pravda vítězí” (Truth prevails), which appears on a ribbon held by two linden tree branches on the Presidential Standard of the President of the Czech Republic.
